Coastal Shenanigans in Sea Point

Sea Point, Mouille Point, Green Point...these have got to be some of my favourites in the Cape. For me, nothing beats the laid back lifestyle and all-round experience these suburbs provide. Whether you´re keen on a morning run along the promenade, with the fresh sea breeze filling your lungs, cycling on a stylish bicycle from Up Cycles or grabbing some grub at the Mojo Market, Sea Point´s got some cool spots that´ll satisfy almost anyone.

1. Grab grub at Mojo Market:

Mojo Market is a viiibbeee! If you haven´t yet checked it out, add it to your list asap. Expect a variety of food stalls in a vibey setting, some tropical frescoes on the walls, live bands and an all round laid back experience. Open from: 8am-11pm.

How Up Cycles managed to make cycling along the promenade fashionable, I must applaud them...Up Cycles provides the perfect two-wheeled experience for all ages, to explore the 7 km stretch of promenade. Prices start at R75/hour.

3. Be adventurous:

These options are more on the pricey side, but if you´re somewhat of an adventure junkie or adrenaline nut, why not try kayaking with Kaskazi or go tandem paragliding off Signal Hill? It´ll be one sure fire way to get your day going with a rocking kick start!

4. Backtrack to Greenpoint for a picnic in the eco park:

The Green Point Eco Park provides the perfect juxtaposition between urban and natural and has great views of the Green Point Stadium, Table Mountain and Lions Head. Be sure to take a stroll by following the paths, you never know what interesting facts or hidden displays you might find ;)

5. Take it easy on the promenade:

One activity that costs nothing at all, is a simple walk on the promenade. What more could you ask for, fresh sea breeze, long meander...blisss.

6. Putt putt anyone? :

Care to test your skills on a hole-in-one? Check out the putt-putt at Mouille Point for an afternoon of chilled fun.

7. Go for a swim:

Sea Point has a short strip of beach that is perfect for taking a dip, whilst avoiding the major crowds at some of CT´s other spots. Not keen on a full-on ocean swim? Take a dip in the tidal pool or simply get your toes a little sandy with a beach walk or picnic.
